“DustUp!” is the collaboration of Jeff Sweet and Hank Fridell. They wrote and recorded the tunes for this album 1,500 miles apart, through the magic of the internet and each having their own studio. The two were college roommates over 40 years ago, and got reconnected in 2016, only to discover they still shared a passion of music and recording. “Crazy Horse:” Jeff’s tour of the Crazy Horse Monument in the Black Hills inspire this tune, and was the first of our collaborations.
“News From the Swamp:” This instrumental was inspired by the chaos we see every day coming from our nation’s capitol.
“Witness:” Both the Sweets and the Fridells traveled to see the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse, but about 1,500 miles apart, and we were inspired to write this tune.
