Marianne and Hank Fridell are active singers, songwriters and musicians who live outside of Custer, South Dakota, a small town in the southern Black Hills.
Marianne plays bass, mandolin and piano. Hank plays banjo, guitar, dobro, and bass. Marianne and Hank perform together as a duo, are regulars at area open mics, are members of the bluegrass band String Tied, and play with a variety of performers in our region. They also work with schools in the communities of Custer and Spearfish in honoring elders through the Elders’ Wisdom, Children’s Song project.
